About AFSCV

The official nonprofit center of French Language and Culture in Silicon Valley

Alliance Française Silicon Valley (AFSCV) is a non-profit organization and the official center of French Language and Culture in Silicon Valley. Its mission is to promote and enhance the knowledge and appreciation of French and francophone cultures and language, and to encourage interaction among French, Francophone, and American people through programs in education and the arts.

Since 1970, AFSCV has offered French language classes for all ages and levels as well as cultural events, libraries, two book clubs and celebrations of French holidays. We have two centers, located in Menlo Park and Campbell, to better serve Silicon Valley including the Santa Clara, San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties.

About us picture

San Jose Mercury News article

Alliance Française Silicon Valley was created in 1970 in Saratoga by Mrs. Noble Tucker, under the name “Alliance Française of Saratoga.” It later became the “Alliance Française of Santa Clara Valley.” In 2013, our name changed to “Alliance Française Silicon Valley” so that we could be found more easily.

In 2016, we celebrated our 46th anniversary and plan on providing you a professional and customized service for many more years!
