"The Alliance Française was founded in 1883 by Jules Verne and Louis Pasteur, today it is one of the largest cultural NGO’s in the world with over 900 chapters spread throughout the planet.
The Silicon Valley chapter runs three campuses and produces various events in Campbell, Menlo Park and Santa Cruz. The Campbell campus is moving to better digs.
120 students rely on the Campbell Office every session to learn French from native speaking instructors. This campus is the main anchor of French culture and education in the south bay.
The move to the new location will attract thousands of new students in the next five years, and hundreds of new patrons will attend events which could not be accommodated at the old location.
The move to the new location will complement the dynamics of downtown Campbell bringing French culture closer to residents of the peninsula.
