" L'Enfant des Cèdres " this modern tale by Désirée SADEK AZIZ transcends the boundaries of a simple book. It is a story that comes to life in the heart of the mountains of Lebanon, bearing witness to the painful scars of war. Throughout the narrative, Nabil, a young shepherd with gentle blue eyes, tirelessly plants cedar seeds in the arid land, symbolizing this country with deep and ancient roots. With infinite patience, he protects these precious trees like a living treasure. This tale pays vibrant homage to the courage and authentic values of life.

What makes " L'Enfant des Cèdres " even more remarkable is the artistic contribution of 14,650 children aged 3 to 15 years old, whose drawings enrich the pages of this tale. Nabil is not just a legendary character; each copy sold results in the planting of a cedar tree in Lebanon. Thus, this book becomes a true anthem to courage and the essential values of life.

The author, Désirée SADEK AZIZ, was born in 1958 in northern Lebanon, where the echoes of legends and winged prophets abound. As the editor-in-chief of  Santé Magazine, she has been involved in the health field for fifteen years. As a writer and journalist, her works are infused with a deep love for her country.

As the founder of the International Committee for the Preservation of the Cedar of Lebanon, Désirée Sadek Aziz has published a book dedicated to this emblematic tree of her home country, "The Cedar of Lebanon" (1991), which was awarded the prize of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.

Ce qui rend "L'Enfant des Cèdres" encore plus remarquable, c'est la participation artistique de 14 650 enfants âgés de 3 à 15 ans, dont les dessins enrichissent les pages de ce conte. Nabil n'est pas seulement un personnage de légende, chaque exemplaire vendu se traduit par la plantation d'un cèdre au Liban. Ainsi, ce livre devient un véritable hymne au courage et aux valeurs essentielles de la vie.

L'auteure, Désirée SADEK AZIZ, est née en 1958 dans le nord du Liban, où résonnent les légendes et les prophètes ailés. Rédactrice en chef du magazine Santé, elle évolue depuis quinze ans dans l'univers de la santé. Écrivaine et journaliste, ses ouvrages sont teintés d'un amour profond pour son pays.

En tant que fondatrice du Comité international de sauvegarde du cèdre du Liban, Désirée Sadek Aziz a publié un ouvrage dédié à cet arbre emblématique de son pays d'origine, le Cèdre du Liban (1991), récompensé par le prix de l'Académie des sciences morales et politiques.
