By Robert Guédiguian, with Ariane Ascaride, Jean Pierre Darroussin, Lola Naymark
In French with English subtitles.
Rosa is the heart and soul of her neighborhood in old Marseille. She shares her boundless energy between her close-knit extended family, her job as a nurse, and her political activism in support of the less fortunate. But as retirement approaches, she will come to realize that it's never too late to fulfill her personal dreams.
This is the latest feature film by Robert Guédiguian, renowned for being the modern Marcel Pagnol, in love with Marseille. Beautiful cinematography.
The bilingual introduction and the discussion will be led by Hélène Laroche Davis, Professor of Film Studies.
