Start 2026 on the trail with the Alliance Française Silicon Valley!

Kick off the new year with fresh air, good company, and French conversation during the first French Hike of 2026, organized by Alliance Française Silicon Valley and led by Thomas Celerier.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, join us at Pearson-Arastradero Preserve for a scenic winter walk along the Hlone Trail to Arastradero Creek Trail. This moderate 7 km (about 4.3 miles) hike takes approximately 2 hours, winding through rolling grasslands, oak woodlands, and peaceful creekside paths—an ideal way to reconnect with nature after the holidays.

As always, this hike is as much about community and conversation as it is about walking. The outing will be conducted largely in French, but all levels are welcome—native speakers, learners, and Francophiles alike. It’s a relaxed and friendly way to practice French, meet new people, and enjoy one of Palo Alto’s most beautiful open spaces.
